I’ve put some new music on the site. I wanted to put this out several years ago. So I listed the help of a guy called Keith Jones. Keith was just about to start his dissertation for a Masters of science and he said that he could use the song and subsequent video as a part of his dissertation. It was using cutting-edge technology which was in its infancy. Utilising volumetric filming, and other wizardry and jiggery-pokery which is far beyond my technical capability. I always knew there was a chance that the video would not be completed simply because of how new this technology was at the time and it was something that even Keith himself had never used as clever as he is!
We bought the necessary equipment and, we did the initial filming and we left it in Jonesy's capable hands. As part of these downloads I have included Keith final dissertation (he passed:)) Hopefully if you get a chance to read the dissertation it will explain why there is no video at this current time.
Anyhow the track will only be available on this website at least for the moment. So I hope you will like it.

Really enjoyed reading this post about Staccato because it gives a cool behind-the-scenes glimpse into how Roots Manuva finally decided to share this track and the story behind it, especially with how new technology and someone’s dissertation played a part in the process, which isn’t something you usually hear about with music releases and makes the whole thing feel more personal and human rather than just another single drop.
